• SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Locations
Trapper's approved permit (Section 4.9.2) specifies that CDRMS will be provided with map(s)
illustrating the location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous year and the approximate
locations for stockpiles proposed for construction during the upcoming year (Map 1).
Table 5-1 lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomenclature, coordinates (based on the
approximate center of the pile), acres, construction date and volume; which is updated annually.
During 2008, Trapper constructed four new stockpiles labeled G102, K108, Z108, and A108.
Additionally six existing piles; A011, G202, Z107, ZTS1, ZTS2, and G406 were totally depleted for
topsoil replacement or relocation. Topsoil pile AET1 and F206 was partially removed during stripping
activities in Flintlock and Ashmore Pit.
At the end of 2008, excluding stockpiles abandoned with the approvals of MR-155 and TR-94, there are
70 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 179.7 acres and storing approximately 3,862,313
cubic yards of salvaged topsoil.
The proposed approximate locations for topsoil stockpiles in 2009 may exceed the actual number that
will be constructed. Proposed topsoil stockpiles and the number of piles constructed are dependent
upon the field conditions that are encountered each reclamation season. Additionally, particular piles
may be depleted from or added to in order to maintain a cost effective salvage or replacement program
during a particular year.
• [DR 5/09
[ORMS108TSte)QS-0)
•
