Head cut west of fdoHat Access Road(SI18I2009). Repaired and stabilized head cut.
The terraces in the west ridge area are stable and functioning as designed. No erosion or gully
features were noted at the time of the inspection. The outlets of the terraces into the"string of pearls"
permanent drainage were stable with no problems noted. The"string of pearls' series of check dams
were stable with no problems noted. Check dams C2 and CK3 displayed slight movement of the rock
in the check dams. The check dams showed evidence of good functionality, with sediment moving
from one dam down to the next as designed.
f
String of Pearls permanent drainage. Tenace along West Ridge Area.
Slight down cutting was observed along the west ridge road ditch west of the String of Pearls dam.
This down cutting was evident and most prominent for—50' along a steep grade in the west ridge
road. The ditch was permitted and designed as a triangular ditch. The ditch is stabilized at the top of
the slope and at the inlet to the string of pearls drainage at the bottom of the slope. Although some
down cutting was evident, the ditch remains in the permitted triangular shape with substantial
vegetation cover in the base and sides of the ditch, providing evidence as to the stability of the ditch.
