D. Special Uses <br />The following uses shall be permitted only upon review by the Planning Commission and approval by the <br />Board of County Commissioners: (orig. 8-6-80; am. 12-17-02) <br />1. Holding areas for motor vehicles (operable or inoperable) removed from public roads and awaiting <br />disposition by proper legal authorities. Such motor vehicles shall be enclosed by a closed fence <br />(one preventing view) at least 8 feet in height. (orig. 8-6-80) <br />2. Cable television reception substation. (orig. 9-11-90) <br />3. Trash transfer station. (orig. 9-11-90) <br />4. Recycling transfer station, Type 11. (orig. 9-11-90) <br />5. A group living facility, other than homes for social rehabilitation, or a home where up to 6 unrelated <br />individuals are living together, that is occupied by more than one registered sex offender. (orig. 2-1- <br />00) <br />E. Lot and Building Standards <br />1. Height Limitation: None. (orig. 2-14-56) <br />2. Lot Standards: None. (orig. 8-6-80) <br />3. Front Setback: <br />a. The minimum front setback for any building shall be 50 feet. (orig. 2-14-56) <br />b. The minimum front setback for motor fuel pumps shall be 18 feet. (orig. 2-14-56) <br />c. Comer lots must comply with the vision clearance triangle requirements as specified in the <br />Definitions Section of this Zoning Resolution. (orig. 8-6-80; am. 7-1-03) <br />4. Side Setbacks <br />a. The minimum side setback for any structure not adjacent to a street shall be 5 feet. (A more <br />restrictive setback may be required for some types of use or construction under the Building <br />Code.) (orig. 2-14-56; am. 8-6-80; am. 12-17-02) <br />b. The minimum side setback for any structure adjacent to a street shall be 30 feet. (orig. 2-14- <br />56) <br />c. The minimum side setback for motor fuel pumps adjacent to a street shall be 18 feet. (orig. 2- <br />14-56) <br />d. Corner lots must comply with the vision clearance triangle requirements as specified in the <br />Definitions Section of this Zoning Resolution, except as specified in the "Fences" portion of this <br />Section. (orig. 8-6-80; am. 12-17-02; am. 7-1-03) <br />5. Rear Setback: The minimum rear setback for any structure shall be 10 feet; except that structures <br />abutting an alley shall have a minimum rear setback of 15 feet measured from the center of the <br />alley. (orig. 2-14-56) <br />6. Fences <br />a. Maximum Height: None. (orig. 8-6-80) <br />b. Fence permits are required for any fence over 42 inches in height.
