Jul 13 09 05:15p
We stipulate to the timing of field activities as being between the dates of July 1 and
December 1 of any given year because of wildlife concerns.
RECLAMATION
Because we will attempt to do drill hole reclamation as we go, probably at least part of
the process will be accomplished in the 2009 season (by October 1, 2009). The seeding
with the mix recommended by the BLM will take place whenever conditions permit. We
need some advice from the BLM concerning this. If the sampling program is deemed
complete before the end of the season and results are negative, the sample plant and all
other semipermanent equipment will be removed, the pond backfilled, the area
compacted in the operation ripped: and the topsoil replaced preparatory to seeding. Some
of this might not be done before 2010. The seeding will be done at a propitious time.
The entire schedule could fall apart if there are encouraging results from the program and
we go into a production mode. We realize that will require a plan of operations but the
exploration phase will merge right into it. A production facility would probably utilize
some of the same area as the exploration work did.
RECLAMATION COST ESTIMATE
If the drilling program proceeds as envisioned with a very light footprint on the
ground, costs of reclamation will involve only the placement of drill cuttings and a
polyfoarn plug with a little more drill cuttings and topsoil on top. The topsoil and any
scuffed areas from the drill rig will have to be raked out and seeded. Using per hole costs
of $35 to $50 for the described process and a maximum of 80 holes, the drilling area
reclamation costs should not be over $4000. The 150'X150' plant area will be scarified
or ripped to loosen any compaction and the settling pond will be backfilled. '!Chen the
stockpiled topsoil will be placed over the resulting area The topsoil will be prepared for
seeding which will take place when the weather is right. With the backhoe-loader this
can probably be done in a day once the plant is removed. The knockdown and removal
of the plant and associated facilities (water tank, pipelines, storage building) might take
four or five days at a cost of another $2000. The seeding of disturbed areas iv; a real
unknown because it might be necessary to return to the area when the weather is right and
that might be in hunting season when there are restrictions by the adjoining land owner or
maybe when the BLM has restrictions because of bird or wildlife breeding, nesting, or
birthing seasons. In any event the seeding will probably not cost over $2000 unless there
is some expensive seed involved. All this totals to $9000. I see that Russell Means has
come up with a price of $13,700 to 515,500 using a contractor where we would be doing
the work ourselves. By backfilling the holes as we go along, we would save a big part of
his estimated $3000 to $4000 and $1100 in mobilization-demobilization so we are not too
far apart using our different approaches.
OCCUPANCY
There will be no occupancy of BLM surface on the mining claims unless specifically
permitted by the BLM.
