Section - 2.04.7
snowmelt ceases, as illustrated by Figures 2.04.7-174A through 2.04.7-F4I, Spring Discharge
Hydrographs (Springs SP-2 through SP-11).
Discharge may result in minor seeps or springs or may be lost to evaporation and transpiration at or
near the point of discharge. With the rugged terrain in the area and the natural occurrence of
relatively beam! veoetatinn in the steep drainage valleys, some seeps and springs may egjct in valley
bottoms or on side-slopes which have not been located or identified, however, a reasonable effort has
been made to locate seeps or springs in the areas overlying the existing and proposed underground
mine workings. The following lists those seeps or springs identified through field reconnaissance
efforts, with seep and spring locations shown on the Ground Water Hydrology Map, (Map 2.04-M5):
Spring Designation
Elk No. 1
Sanborn East SP-1
Sanborn East SP-2
Sanborn East SP-3
Sanborn East SP-4
Sanborn East SP-5
Sanborn East SP-6
Sanborn East SP-7
Sanborn East SP-8
Sanborn East SP-9
Sanborn East SP-10
Sanborn East SP-11
Thompson Creek A
Thompson Creek B
Thompson Creek C
Thompson Creek D
Thompson Creek E
Thompson Creek F
Thompson Creek G
Thompson Creek H
Flow Rate Located By
< 1 gpm Ground Reconnaissance (1978-1979)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
12gpm Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
2gpm Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
8gpm Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
lgpm Ground Reconnaissance (1982-1983)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
Ephemeral Ground Reconnaissance (1996)
None of the identified seeps or springs have been developed for beneficial uses.
Exhibit 2.04-E4 - Hydrologic Information, Item 11 contains information regarding the spring, seep
and pond summary for the Elk Creek Coat Lease Tract.
