Table 2 are also provided on Table 1. Ambient values were higher than the Reg. 41 standards for
• cadmium, iron, lead, manganese and sulfates. Outliers in Table 2 were indentified and not used in Table
1. These values are underlined on Table 1 and will serve as the standards for those parameters. For all
other parameters, the more stringent of the Reg. 41 domestic or agricultural standards will serve as the
standard. Those values are also underlined on Table 1. Review of Table 1 indicates that the water
quality from Well DCAL-02 has only exceeded one of the proposed standards (iron) in the July 2008
sample.
The final water quality standard to be applied is the Regulation 41 Table 4 standard of 1.25 times the
ambient concentration of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). As can be seen in Table 3, the maximum
ambient TDS concentration of 2,556 mg/L occurred in well WHAL10 (Nov. 1992). When multiplied by
1.25, the TDS groundwater standard becomes 3,195 mg/L. The current water quality of monitoring well
DCAL-02 is 1,490 mg/L, which is well below the water quality standard.
•
n
t?
TR-63 7-3b-3 Revised 3/09
