PUBLIC NOTICE <br />GCC Energy, LLC, 4424 County Road 120, Hesperus, Colorado 81326, phone (970) 385-4528, has filed an <br />application for a technical revision (TR-17) to a valid existing permit for the King I Mine (permit C-81-035) <br />with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety. The subject of the revision is to suspend down- <br />gradient bedrock monitoring until 2 years prior to a final bond release application. The mine is located in <br />portions of Sections 31 and 32; T35N, R1 1W, N.M.P.M., Section 36; T35N, R12W, N.M.P.M., and Sections 5, <br />6,7 and 8; T34N, R11 W, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado. All mining activities of King I mine lie to <br />the south side of Hay Gulch, approximately 4.5 miles southwest of Hesperus, as identified on U.S.G.S. 7.5- <br />minute quadrangles of Thompson Park, Hesperus, Mormon Reservoir, and Kline. The proposed land use at the <br />completion of mining is rangeland. <br />A copy of the application is available for public review at the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office, La <br />Plata County Courthouse, 1060 Second Avenue, Durango, CO 81302, and at the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining & Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone (303) 866-3567. <br />Anyone with a valid interest may submit written comments or objections within 10 days of the last publication <br />of this notice. All comments, objections, and requests must be submitted in writing to the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining & Safety at the above address. Published in The Durango Herald, , 2009.
