Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
I have reviewed Colowyo's Hydrologic Monitoring Plan as submitted for Technical
Revision No. 70 (TR-70). Included in my review were pages 17-21 under Rule 4, South
Taylor/Lower Wilson, revised 3/4/2008. My comments are as follows.
No map was provided. I must assume that these sites are properly located and
identified on an existing map by the identical name as used in the permit text that
requires no revision. Please confirm that this is the case.
2. On page 18, flow is listed as a Quarterly Surface Water Laboratory Parameter.
Please remove flow from this table.
3. On page 18, please add "@25° C" to the conductivity parameter in the Quarterly
Surface Water Laboratory Parameter.
4. On page 19, please remove water level from the Quarterly Alluvial Ground Water
Laboratory Parameters table.
5. Text should identify whether the sample values will be reported as total
recoverable or dissolved depending on previous practice for surface and ground
water. Please add some indication for surface and ground water sampling.
This concludes my review. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
