• MINREC,INC. ANNUAL HYDROLOGIC REPORT PAGE 3
A table of the No. 3 Mine water level measurements and a graph which shows the increase
and decrease in water level over time are presented in Appendix 111. The water level in the
mine is measured through a monitoring hole which penetrates the mine opening. The
water level in the mine was basically stable during 2000.
MINE WATER QUALITY
The discharge from the No. 3 Mine and No. 1 Mine were combined on August 11, 1995.
The average flow measurements from the No. 3 Mine (Outfall 007) for the period 1990
through 1994 is summarized below.
NO. 3 MINE DISCHARGE
Year 1990 19 Fl 91 1992 1993 1994
ow m 6.7 6.8 5.5 1 0.4 8.0
Water from the No.1 Mine and No. 3 Mine continue to be treated by the passive water
treatment system. The quality of the discharge is presented in a table in Appendix IV. The
• quality of the discharge from the mines showed some variation from last year. The
average flow and TDS decreased and conductivity increased during the year.
The following table presents arithmetic averages of flow and quality measurements taken
at Outfall 001. Outfall 001 is the discharge point for the passive water treatment system.
As of August 11, 1995, the discharge from Outfall 001 is the combined discharge from the
No. 1 Mine and the No. 3 Mine.
OUTFALL 001 - QUALITY
YEAR Flow Max Flow Ave PH I COND TDS IRON
1989 43.0 16.5 _7.9__ __ 3598 _ __ 2512 _ 1_51 _
1990 30.0 17.0 8.1 3157 _ 2129 _ 1.16_
1991 30.3 20.1 8.1 2890 _ 2018 _ 1_28_
1992 27.7 19.3 8.0 2722 1805 0.72
---------- ------------ ----------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
1993 27.9 22.4 7.9 2643 1738 0.54
---------- ------------ ----------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
1994 21.6 21.2 7.6 2627 1710 0.52
• 1995 75.2* 32.5 7.8 2435 1663 0.17
