bmk
2009 Technical Revision Clarification
Snyder Quarry
v/M-77-210
Castle Concrete Company

RECEIVED
,?-/JUL 0 2 2009
Division of Reclamation,
J Mining and Safety
Overview of Permit Clarification: During the time between the submission and approval process of the
technical revision it became evident the reclamation specialist and blasting specialist had not communicated the
layout of the access road to access the new area known as AREA AP. It is the intent of this clarification to
rectify this miscommunication.
Clarification Detaih During the original submission the reclamation specialist used the original single lane
pedestrian road to get to the north end of the quarry where the mining will start With the construction of the
access road it became evident that due to the size of the haul truck and the safety requirements of the width of
the road along with the grade change the road needed to take a different route.
In the original configuration the road proceeded north, then slightly down a hill into a ravine where it turned
abruptly west a proceeded up a steeper hill. The new road takes a more gradual access to the top of the quarry
and eliminates a severe downhill 90 degree turn coming off of the quarry to the production facility when loaded.
The areas that would be included are noted on the enclosed map. The included areas are both well within the
boundaries and should produce no impact to the technical revision.
N
Castle Concrete 2008-2009 Annual Report
M-77-210 Snyder Quarry
