The proposed renewal <br />will allow for continued mining and/or reclamation operations at <br />the site. <br />The Southfield Mine is located in Fremont County, approximate- <br />ly 7 miles south of Florence, Colorado. Coal interest at this <br />underground mine is Private, and the surface to be affected is <br />Private land. The permit area encompasses' approximately <br />2,743.40 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding. that the proposed <br />operation will comply with all requirements of the Colorado Sur- <br />face Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101 at seq., <br />C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the "Proposed Deci:>ion and Findings of Compliance',' <br />including any stipulations, is on file for public inspection at the <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215 <br />Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado <br />80203, and at the Fremont County Clerk's Office, 615 Macon <br />Avenue, Room B-5m Canon City,. CO 81212. Persons with an <br />interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision <br />may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclama- <br />tion Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be <br />made within thirty (30) days of the initial publication of this <br />notice, must be in writing, and must state with reasonable speci- <br />ficity the reasons for the reqLest and the objections to the pro- <br />posed decision. <br />1st Pub.
