This was complete inspection of the Amess McGriffin Mine conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The ground was dry.
The permit for this mine was revoked more than 10 years ago. The site was reclaimed by DRMS's
IML program in April 1990.
No changes other than green grass were found on this site, compared to the previous inspection in
March 2009. Photos taken during the inspection are shown below.
Roads
The road that connects the site to Highway 160 remains rutted. The guard rail cable installed by
CDRMS next to the road is in good shape(see photo below).
