No.,, 73 (TR 73)' for the Colowyo Coal
Mine (Permit No. C-1981-019); submit-
ted'by Colo"wyo Coal Company L.P.
t The ColAyo`Coal Obmpany'has'sub-
mitted a Technical Revision for the
Colowyo Mine to update and modify
the - curve' numbers used - in the
SEDCAD hydrologic modeling for sedi-
ment ponds, ditches and other hydro-
logic structures. Currently,, Colowyo
has cone apRroved' curve - number for
'each =&iierent. type of surface at the
mine site. This revision will change
that single curve number to a more ap-
t propriate range of curve numbers, from
which an appropriate curve number
can be chosen. This revision will not
change the design or modeling of any
hydrologic structures already built.
This revision is administrative in nature
so there is no proposed change to the
mine's disturbance boundary or permit
boundary. , There will n6t be any in-
crease in the mine's reclamation liabil-
ity as -a result of this revision.
The Colowyo Coal Mine is a surface .
coal mine located in Moffat County;;
approximately 28 miles southof Craig; ,

Colorado. Coal interest is Federal; and
-
the surface affected is Federal, state
and private land: The permit area an-
compa"sses approximately; 12,250.95
Acres.
This proposed decision is based on a
finding that the proposed operation will
comply with all' requirements of the
Co6ado Surface coal mining Recla-
mation Act, Section 34 33 101, et seq.,
C.R.S:, and the regulations promul-
=gated thereunder
