Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) finished the review of Jubilee Venture's
application for the above referenced Notice of Intent. All application issues appear to have been
addressed to meet the minimum requirements of the Rules and Act.
The final issue is acceptance of the reclamation liability estimate. Staff has calculated the liability to be
$15,450.00 if bentonite plugs are required or $13,725.00 if not. Another question is the PLS/acre for
sagebrush which could also reflect a change in the overall costs downward. PleasE! review the
estimate. If it is acceptable staff needs confirmation of acceptance. If there are issues please contact
staff as soon as possible to review and discuss them.
BLM Snake River has been copied the estimate. BLM needs to confirm whether bentonite will be
required and the sagebrush pls/ per acre. DRMS also needs confirmation of acceptance of the bond
amount prior to issuing its final decision.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501,
telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
G.
