The bond release <br />application was found complete by this Division on June 23, 2009. Snowcap Coal Company is <br />requesting release of Phase III bond liability on 2.1 reclaimed acres of its total 3,016 acres within the <br />permit boundary at the Roadside North and South Portals Mine. The Phase III bond release is for 2.1 <br />disturbed acres that have been fully reclaimed. The specific location for the Phase III Bond Release <br />request is at the Overland Conveyor area. A surety bond in the amount of $1,646,038.00 is in place of <br />which $10, 073.00 is being requested for release. The surface ownership is Federal and private, and <br />the coal mined was Federal and private. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon <br />as it has been scheduled.
