Exhibit E
Reclamation Plan
MacKenzie Pit
June 16, 2009
Final reclamation of the mined area will be industrial/commercial land use. Reclamation will
occur concurrently with mining as mining established final slopes and pit floor. The mine floor
will be graded for stormwater drainage to the north and northeast. The mine floor will not be
vegetated.
Mining will continue toward the west and south to the existing industrial floor elevation. Slopes
will be maintained at a 3:1 grade or gentler during mining. Mining will daylight to the north,
west and the short southern boundary along Highway 115. Only the southern and western
portion of the east facing boundary will be sloped. The eastern approximately 1000 feet of the
southern boundary is already stabilized highwall and will not be affected by mining.
The area north of the private road will not be affected by mining. The office building, two
maintenance buildings, three above ground storage tanks with containment structures, two
detention ponds, concrete batch plant, paint booth building, metal fabrication building, well
house and interior roads will not be reclaimed.
Plant growth material will be stockpiled during mining or immediately place on slopes ready for
reclamation. Slopes will be vegetated according to the US Soil Conservation Service plan in
Exhibit J. All slopes not already stabilized and vegetated will be contoured to a 3:1 slope during
mining. Slopes will be vegetated according to Exhibit 1 upon final contouring and placement of
plant growth medium.
A 50 foot setback will be maintained around the private residence located in the west central
area of the site. Slopes will be constructed consistent with the description above.
The concrete washout pond located in the southwest corner of the site will be reclaimed. If
necessary, the pond will be filled with reject material or fines and compacted to an elevation
consistent with the industrial floor.
Eqq V ?ronMentcdil ?p?11<<er q a ??
