Cattany <br /> <br />Re: Proposed Decision Division Director <br /> Natural Resource Trustee <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 5 (RN-5) <br />Deserado Mine (Permit No. C-1981-018) <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal <br />mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc on January 20, 2009 <br />for the Deserado Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the Rio Blanco Herald-Times. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 7 miles Northeast of Rangely, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12, T2N, R101W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County; Portions of <br />Sections 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, and 36, T3N, R101 W, 6th PM; All of Sections 22, 29, 32, and 33, <br />T3N, R101 W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder.
