KN - 0 S` r NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety pro- poses to Approve Permit Renewal Application No. 5 (RN-5), sub- nlitted by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. for a coal mining permit at the Southfield Mine (Permit No. C-1981/014). The proposed renewal will allow for continued mining and/or reclamation operations at the site. The Southfield Mine is located in Fremont County, approximate- ly 7 miles south of Florence, Colorado. Coal interest at this underground mine is Private, and the surface to be affected is Rrivate land. The permit area encompasses approximately 2,743.40 acres. This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all requirements of the Colorado Sur- face Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101 et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. copy of the "Proposed Decision and Findings of Comliance" including any stipulations, is on file for public inspectiopn at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215 entennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 0203, and at the Fremont County Clerk's Office, 615 Macon Avenue, Room B-5m Canon City, CO 81212. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclama- tion Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be made within thirty (30) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and must state with reasonable speci- ficity the reasons for the request and the objections to the pro- posed decision. 1st Pub.
