deep which will receive the used process water and the rejected material from the
sample plant separation. Periodically this rejected material will be removed and
allowed to drain and dry before it is used to backfill the drill holes.
3.) The drill holes will be reclaimed. Just what that will mean in each case is hard to
determine until the hole has been drilled and whatever damage has occurred in the
process is evident. Topsoil saved from the collar of the hole or derived from
elsewhere will be used to cover the top of the hole itself. The bore will be
backfilled with the cuttings retrieved from the sampling plant collection pit. This
backfill will be approximately equally permeable in all axes. I think that because
the sandstone in which the holes will be drilled is an unconfined aquifer that it
won't do much good to place bentonite in the hole and no bentonite will be used in
the drilling of the hole. However, if so deemed, we can place bentonite in the
bottom. If you want a concrete plug at the top of the hole but a foot or two below
the surface, that can be accomplished and more cuttings and topsoil can be placed
on top of it for complete reclamation. I have contacted the BLM Field Office in
Craig which sent me the seed mix formula used in the area where we may be
drilling but note that they tailor that mix somewhat if needed.
If this doesn't cover all the information desired, please let me know.

William D.
