Catt <br />any <br />, Division Director <br />or <br /> Natural Resource Trustee <br />Re: Proposed Decision <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 5 (RN-5) <br />Southfield Mine (Permit No. C-1981-014) <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal <br />mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. on January 30, 2009 for <br />the Southfield Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the Canon City Daily Record. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 7 miles south of Florence, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Mine Area: <br />Portions of Sections 19, 30, and 31; Township 20S, Range 69N of the 6th P.M.; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, and 36; <br />Township 20S, Range 70 W of the 6th P.M. <br />Loadout: <br />Portions of Sections 17 and 18; Township 19S, Range 69W of the 6th P.M. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Fremont County Clerk and Recorder.
