Cottony <br />Division Director <br />irlatural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues native, in accordance with Title 34, Article 3?, <br />Section l 1 b, Paragraph 4, of the olarada Revised Statutes, that on dune 12, 2409, an application to revise vaal <br />minim operations at the Seneca Il?w Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was <br />submitted by Seneca foal company, LLB. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the <br />Regulations initiate from this date of filing. . <br />This revision application would allow far termination of the wildlife monitoring program at the Seneca ? west <br />Mine, based on the fact that active rn?ng operations have ceased and future act?vlty will be limited to <br />maintenance and xevlarnation proj ects. <br />The surface coal mining operation is an land located approximately 9 miles South of Hayden, alorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />TS?I, R8$w; All of Section 15; portions of Sections 9,10, ? 1,14,1 ?, 21, 22, 23, 2?, 27, 34, and ?5 <br />T??, RS$w; Portions of Sections 14, ?? end ?? <br />T??, RS7w; Portions of Sections ? ?, ? $, ? ? <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USES 7.? minute quadrangle map of Hayden, Hayden Gulch, <br />Duncldey, and Mt. Harris. <br />Because the above referenced technical revision application would alter a previously approved wildlife monitoring <br />program, vie are requesting your agenv?'s e?raluation of the proposal. Your comments reXating to the adequacy of <br />the amended plan, and whether you believe continued monitoring is v?arranted, are requested. <br />A copy of the technical revision is enclosed.
