Request for Extension for Submittal of Environmental Protection Permit (EPP)
for Cotter Schwartzwalder Mine
Dear Mr. Bird,
The Environmental Protection Permit (EPP) for the Cotter Schwartzwalder Mine is due in your
office on June 10, 2009. As we discussed by telephone on June 3rd, Whetstone Associates is
still in the process of preparing that report. We would like to request a 60-day extension for the
submission of the EPP, to allow sufficient time to finalize the data compilation and allow Cotter
Corporation sufficient time to review the document. We understand DRMS's desire to receive
the EPP and move toward Designated Mining Operation (DMO) status for the Schwartzwalder,
and will do our best to work with you in this process.
Sincerely,
Whetstone Associates, Inc.
G
Susan A.
