Nettleton <br />Environmental Manager <br />Twentymile Coal Company <br />29515 Routt County Road 27 <br />Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br />Dear Mr. Nettleton: <br />CO-0093 <br />On June 9, 2009, the U.S. Department of the Interior approved a mining plan modification for <br />Federal leases COC-081330, COC-20900 and COC-67514 at Twentymile Coal Company's <br />Foidel Creek Mine. This mining plan action relates to Federal lands associated with the <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety's (CO-DRMS) Foidel Creek Mine (Permit <br />No. C-1982-056) Proposed Decision - Technical Revision No. 64, (TR-64), Phase H <br />Development of Western Mining District, approved on October 3, 2008. <br />. I have enclosed a copy of the mining plan approval document and associated map for this mining <br />plan modification. Please read the terms and conditions of the mining plan approval document <br />carefully. Mining and reclamation operations must be conducted in accordance with both the <br />Colorado state permit and the approved mining plan. <br />The June 9, 2009, approval allows you to initiate coal recovery activities associated with <br />Technical Revision No. 64 on Federal leases COC-081330, COC-20900 and COC-67514 within <br />the area of mining plan approval. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 293-5038. <br />Sincerely, <br />Carl R.
