MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: m-?nng-n Is
INSPECTION DATE: -b %n09 INSPECTOR-S INITIALS: JLF
OBSERVATIONS
This was a normal monitoring inspection of Munsch Pit, DRMS File# M-2000-018 operated by the Cheyenne
County Government. This site is located approximately three miles due south of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado in
Cheyenne County. I, Jared Ebert of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety conducted the
inspection.
The proper mine identification sign and boundary markers were in place at the time of the inspection. There
is a pit excavation in place at the eastern end of the permit area and the pit is about 15-20 feet deep. The
topsoil is stockpiled near the south east portion of the pit excavation and is also in berms located around the
top of the pit excavation. The topsoil piles were vegetated with annual weeds and some grasses and they
appeared to be stable. The pit slopes seemed to be set at a 2:1 horizontal to vertical ratio in some places and
3:1 or less at other places.
No problems were observed at this site.
f
Figure 2.) Eastern end of pit excavation.
Figure 1.) Topsoil pile at south east portion of the
site.
