/?- /qn- 06 7 <br /> <br />From: Steve Ziclan [mailto:zig@mesanetworks.net] <br />Sent: Tuesday, June 02, 2009 1:13 PM <br />To: david.bird@state.co.us <br />Cc: ctessmer@co.adams.co.us; azigan@yahoo.com; Ben Frei; Connie Scott; msmontoya@peoplepc.com <br />Subject: Meeting with Ben Frei 'I,- <br />June 2, 2009 <br />To: David Bird <br />State of Colorado <br />Dept. of Natural Resources, DRMS <br />I wanted to inform you that I just had a meeting with Ben Frei, CEO of Albert Frei and <br />Sons, at his request. <br />While no definitive solution or commitment to resolve our high water levels was <br />expressed, I do feel that it was a very positive meeting. <br />We discussed and evaluated in depth the possibility of installing a permanent drainage <br />pipe from our lake to the Platte river as a potential solution. <br />We also discussed the possibility of Albert Frei and Sons placing a temporary 6" pump in <br />our lake and running a discharge hose through the drainage pipe under Brighton road and <br />down to the river as an <br />interim measure to lower water levels. <br />Ben Frei did tell me that he would meet with his father and board and advise that they <br />move forward with a solution and that he would contact me by the end of the week with their <br />determination. <br />Again, I feel encouraged in the fact that he took pro-active measures to contact me and <br />that he seems genuinely concerned about our situation. <br />Water levels continue to rise here, 3" in the last 3 days. <br />Again I thank you for your support and influence in correcting this problem. <br />Sincerely, <br />Steven M.
