Marr Mine - 2006 Annual Hydrology Report
7.0 LOADOUT AREA SURFACE WATER
March 2006
Two Loadout surface water sites (319 and 320) were monitored weekly from March through June,
then monthly through September, 2006. There was discharge from Site 320 on April 6, 12 and
18, 2006 and on July 19, 2006 ranging from <0.25 to 1.5 cfs. No flow was observed after July 19,
2006 at Station 320 and there was no discharge in 2006 from Station 319. The sedimentation
pond associated with Site 320 filled during spring runoff and retained water through September.
Site monitoring locations are shown on Map 2, Loadout Area Monitoring Stations.
As of January 1999, the monitoring program for surface discharge points (for the mine area) was
reduced to monthly monitoring for a parameter list including flow, temperature, pH, settleable
solids, and oil and grease. For Site 320, only the field measurements (flow, temperature and pH)
are required for monitoring. This data is contained in Appendix A, 2006 Field Data. The historic
flow data for the Loadout is presented on Table 11, Loadout Area SuAace Wafer Quality Data.
Figure 7, Loadout Station 320 -Historical Flow and pH, shows the variation in flow and
associated pH reading at Station 320 for all historic flows measured since 2001.
Surface water sites 316, 317, and 318 were dropped from monitoring as of October 1999. No
data was collected from these sites during this water year.
TABLE 11 - LOADOUT AREA SURFACE WATER QUALITY DATA
4/6/2006 4/12/2006 4H 8/2006 7/19/2006
STATION 319
Flow Rate cfs NF NF NF NF
Field Tem rature
H -field s.u.
EC -field umhos/cm

STATION 320
Flow Rate cfs 0.5 0,3 <.25 1.5
Field Tem rature ® 6.0 13.1 9.6 20.0
H -field s.u. 8.1 8,1 8.1 8.1
EC -field umhos/cm 671 774 643 642
NF = No Flow
Note: No flows on dates not
shown
File: 6371/?D06/2~06 hydrology apt Page 17
