Unloading operations typically occur at the Haulroad B railroad crossing, where equipment access to the tracks is
available. Typically, unloading operations occur on the north side of the tracks, TCC will install apush-wall at this site
to facilitate the cleanup of coal in those instances where temporary ground storage is required. The push-wall will
consist of pre-formed concrete traffic barriers strategically placed to provide a backstop against which equipment can
operate to retrieve coal.
Additional measures will be implemented at this site to minimize sediment cohtributions to the adjacent Foidel Creek
stream channel. Drainage from the immediate azea of the temporazy coal storage site will be routed to an existing rock
filter as depicted on Map 24, and berms will be maintained at the site to ensure the rock filter is not bypassed. Buffer
zone signs will be erected at the site to assrue that personnel operating equipment in the area are aware of Foidel Creek.
Lastly, excess coal accumulations resulting from unloading operations will be removed in a timely fashion.
A second off-loading point will be established at the railroad crossing located just south of the Foidel School House. I-
beams wi}l be driven into the ground at this point with boards attached to create an L-shaped push-watt. I're-farmed
concrete traffic barriers will be placed in front of this wall to provide a backstop against which equipment can operate
to retrieve coal. Approximately 25 yards of compacted fill will be placed on the railroad track side of the I-beam
structure to provide a level surface for the off-loading and coal cleanup operations. Bonding modifications to address
the removal of this structure are presented in Appendix A, Volume IA. Excess coal accumulations resulting from
unloading operations at this site will be removed in a timely fashion.
(8j_._..__Coal_Processing_Waste and_Non-Coal_ProcessingWaste
A narrative explaining the construction, modification, use, maintenance removal and reclamation of coal
processing and non-coal waste removal handling storage transportation and disposal azeas and structures in the
permit_area_in_accordance_with_sections_4,_10_and_4:11._including appropriate_maps,_which_meet the_requirements_of
2 10,, explarnmgthe location of each_source of waste,_waste storage area,,and waste drsposal_facllity,
~~
TR07-59 2.05-89.1 02/27/07
