Bellhouse Rehab Project
October 8, 2008
Mr. David Berry RECEIVED
Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety M_ aDp, _ wt-D
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 215 OCT 10'2008
Denver, C O 80203 Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Dear Mr. Berry,
Enclosed is a CD of pictures that I took on October 5, 2008 while driving on the road that serves
Russell Bellhouse and Jim Feistner. On that drive I noted the condition of rehabilitation work
that Mr. Bellhouse has accomplished. He has not done any additional work since September 30,
2008.
In general the work has been done satisfactorily, but as is usual for Mr. Bellhouse he has stopped
with about 85% of the work done. With winter fast approching I would like to see the last bit of
work completed this fall and would appreciate your help in motivating Mr. Bellhouse to finish
100% of the work. He still has several piles of unreclaimed dirt that would be easy to sell.
Here is the description of the pictures I took.
Picture 1&2
The bottom of the road, near highway 24, piles of stockpiled dirt. These piles appeared during
reclamation work and I believe is a selling stockpile.
Picture 3
The bottom of the road, near highway 24. The remnant of dirt left over after removing dirt that
was sold to my neighbor. Please see my previous letter detailing the circumstances of the sale.
Picture 4
Part way up the road, a small stockpile of top soil used to top dress the road.
Picture 5
Where Mr. Bellhouse stopped rehab work.
Picture 6
Further up the road an area not needing any work
Picture 7
Further up the road where rehab has occurred. Note the partial topsoil coving of gravels. Again,
the work look satisfactory, but work has stopped short of completion. I don't know if seeding has
been done here.
Picture 8
The other side of the road seen in picture 7. Everything looks fine here.
