underground mining acreage are expected to be affected by subsidence.
The underground coal mining operation is located approximately 23 miles Southwest of Steamboat Springs,
Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows:
In portions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4N, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 13, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27,
The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Rattlesnake Butte, Cow
Creek, Dunckley, Milner, Mount Harris, and Oak Creek.
The DRMS requests written verification regarding Federal mining leases and/or federal surface access approval.
Twentymile Coal Company has referenced the Federal mining leases and/or Federal Surface access agreements
U.S. COC-72980, U.S. COC-20900, and U.S. CO-81330 in this application as documents upon which they base
their legal right to enter. Please verify that the leases and/or agreements have been issued and that final
BLM/federal agency lease/agreement approval has been granted. If these lease/agreement applications are
pending, please notify DRMS as to the status of the lease/agreement review and when a decision is anticipated.
Verification of Federal leases and/or federal surface access agreements should be sent to me at the address listed
