The study area is located along the southern
flanks of the northwest-southwest trending Gypsum Valley anticline. The purpose of the drilling was to provide current
groundwater elevations along with stratigraphic information.
• Drill hole locations were selected, reviewed and approved by Denison Mines Environmental Coordinator Christy
Woodward and Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc. (CDM) Hydrogeologist Mark Nelson. A total of seven holes (SC-0109 through
SC-0509, SC-0709 and SC-0809) totaling 2,090 feet ranging in depth from 285 to 560 feet were drilled near and around
the Carnation Mine portal and Sunday Mine Development Rock Areas. In addition two holes (SC-0609 and SC-0909)
totaling 1,045 feet ranging in depth from 445 to 600 feet were drilled near the Topaz Mine portal (Figure 1 - Drill hole
location map).
Iaoili urn
holeno s I ie lun
north iatca
East
elev
date
td
type
project
target
SC-0109 1529174.11 2047934.83 5736.00 3/11/2009 340.00 RM Sunday Complex Carnation
SC-0209 1529093.46 2047927.77 5741.52 3/11/2009 380.00 RM Sunday Complex Carnation

C-0309
S
29047.04
15
2047892.80
5744.99
3/11/2009
370.00
RM
Sunday Complex
Carnation
SC-0409 1529048.46 2047722.90 5747.73 3/12/2009 380.00 RM Sunday Complex Carnation
SC-0509 1528781.97 2047585.14 5790.81 3/12/2009 560.00 RM Sunday Complex Carnation
SC-0609 1533951.39 2039012.37 5778.08 3/13/2009 600.00 RM Sunday Complex Topaz
SC-0709 1528786.48 2047575.08 5791.10 4/7/2009 335.00 RM Sunday Complex Carnation
SC-0809 1529048.13 2047804.92 5744.05 4/8/2009 285.00 RM Sunday Complex Carnation
SC-0909 1533948.34 2039042.81 5778.79 42009 445.00 RM Sunday Complex Topaz
Borehole Logging
All of the boreholes were logged with a combination suite of geophysical logs designed to map the lithology of the rock in and
around the boreholes.
