Special Construction Permit 06-14 <br />International Uranium Corporation <br />Special Conditions <br />1. "Trucks Entering Highway" signs must be placed on either side of the access to CR 20R. In <br />addition, a sign warning motorists of heavy truck traffic must be placed on CR 20R at the <br />intersection of CR 20R and State Hwy 141. All signs, and the installation of, must conform to <br />the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Call 970-864-7644 (Fony Gallob) if you have <br />questions. <br />2. During periods of extremely dry conditions, the Applicant must either apply Magnesium <br />Chloride (MgCl) to the road or water the road surface to prevent excessive gravel loss during <br />hauling. If MgC1 is applied, it must be done under the supervision of the Road Department. <br />3. Any damage to culverts, cattleguards, road signs or mile marker signs during private <br />maintenance of CR 20R will be the sole responsibility of the Applicant to repair or replace. <br />4. The Applicant is authorized to perform maintenance activities on the road as described in the <br />application; however any maintenance activity must first be approved through the Road <br />Department. Contact Tony Gallob, District Supervisor, at 970-8647644. <br />0 <br />5. The Applicant understands that CR 20R will not be improved or upgraded to accommodate <br />ore hauling. Only general maintenance will be performed by the County Road Department <br />when necessary. Any improvements to the road that are necessary for this project must be <br />performed and/or.paid'for by the Applicant and approved by the San Miguel County Road <br />Department. <br />6. The Applicant shall comply with all other conditions of the attached Resolution 1996-23. <br />7. The Applicant must be aware that this permit does not cover new driveways, or existing access <br />points that are upgraded. The Applicant must request a driveway application at the County <br />Shop in Dry Creek Basin, or call the County Road Department at 970-327-4835. Driveway <br />applications may also be downloaded from the County's web site at www.sanmiguelcounty.org. <br />8. No hauling of material will be allowed when road damage may occur due to wet or unstable <br />road conditions. <br />9. Any increase in the volume of material to be hauled across CR 20R must be approved by the <br />Road Department in an amended Special Construction Permit. <br />10. A bond in the amount of $25,000 must be posted with San Miguel County prior to hauling on <br />CR 20R. No other County Roads are approved for hauling at this time. <br />
