COR-030000 Stormwater Management Plan
vii) Good Housekeeping
(food housekeeping will be used to keep potential areas where pollutants exist clean
and orderly. Containers, drums, and bags will be stored to reduce the risk of
accidental spills. Stack containers according to manufacturer's instructions to avoid
damaging the containers from improper weight distribution. Containers will be stored
on pallets or similar devices, or inside buildings to prevent corrosion of containers
that results from containers coming in contact with moisture on the ground. Toxic or
hazardous liquids will be stored within curbed areas or secondary containment. Other
good housekeeping practices include: routine collection and disposal of site refuse;
designating a controlled location for used oil containers and empty drums; routine
disposal of empty drums; routine removal of used oils and parts cleaners and
unnecessary chemicals; and repairing vehicles and equipment which are observed to
be leaking fluids.
.7) Phased BAlPlmplemenladaovr (§I. C..I c)-?)
( 9
BMPs that control erosion and sediment transport from earth disturbing activities have
been implemented and will remain until reclamation is complete. If additional areas are
disturbed, BMPs that control erosion and sediment transport shall be implemented prior
to start of earth disturbing activities in those areas. As portions of the site are completed
and previously disturbed areas are stabilized or the BMP is no longer needed, BMPs will
be removed. At closure of the mines, BMPs will be implemented as necessary per the , 0
mining permit reclamation plan. Once reclamation is complete, all temporary BMPs will
be removed.
More details regarding the project-specific BMPs are described in Section 3.c) 1 and 2.
Specific locations for BMP implementation are indicated on the site plan in Appendix B.
Permanent or temporary soil erosion control measures for all slopes, channels, ditches, or
any disturbed land area and soil stockpiles, will be implemented as soon as practicable
after final grading or the final earth disturbance has been completed. When it is not
possible to permanently stabilize a disturbed area after an earth disturbance has been
completed or where significant earth disturbance activity ceases, temporary erosion
control measures will be implemented as soon as practicable.
AIaterdalsllam dlingandSpAVFrevenlion (,¢7. C.I eX?
Consistent with the permit requirements, all potential pollutants other than sediment will
be handled and disposed of in a manner that does not cause contamination of stormwater.
Denison plans to ship any solid waste from surface operations to appropriately permitted
off-site disposal facilities. There are no plans to construct any on-site solid waste
disposal units. An existing leach field for sanitary wastes from the change house and
other surface buildings will be used.
f'
Denison Mines (USA) Corp. Sunday Mines SWMP
15
