The simulations show the importance <br />of evaluating upward movement of water from the rock piles caused by evaporation <br />because the majority of water that infiltrates the surface of the development rock piles <br />evaporates in the semi-arid environment present at the Sunday Mines Group. <br />Data regarding mass balance errors for the UNSAT-h simulations are included in <br />Attachment 7. The annual mass balance errors for the simulations summarized in <br />Table 1 range from 1.8 x 10-4 to 5.4 x 10-5 centimeters. <br />A sensitivity analysis was also run in which several model inputs were varied to <br />examine the effect of the changes.
