Section 8
Groundwater Quality
• use, salvage logging following fire, insect epidemics, and/or wind events,
hazardous fuels reduction; and invasive species reduction. Temporanj road
construction and motorized equipment may be used in order to achieve desired
conditions, hozvever, most roads would be closed upon project completion.
Most MA 3s emphasize non-motorized recreation opportunities, but
motorized travel occurs in some areas on existing roads and some trails.
Livestock grazing occurs on many of these lands.
As described in the BLM Management Plan designation, BLM intends to manage this
area with very limited disturbance. Future development that would be expected is
continued mining in the area of the Sunday Mines Group. In addition, oil and gas
exploration and/or additional uranium exploration may occur. It is unlikely that
either the land ownership or the land uses in this area will change markedly in the
future. As a result, groundwater uses are not expected to change markedly in the
foreseeable future.
•
•
8-7
7:184988-Denison MineMTask Order 4- EPP Sunday Mines GroupTINAL EPPTINAL - Environmental Protection Plan Sunday Mines.doc
