Crusher Building and Wall
The crusher and crusher hopper sit on a concrete slab that is 31 feet by
35 feet. There is an expanded metal roof over the lower crusher area
which is 23 feet by 35 feet.
Maintenance Building
The maintenance shop has a slab on grade concrete foundation. The pad
next to the maintenance shop is 16 feet by 25 feet and also has a
concrete foundation. The maintenance shop is sheet metal construction
and the dimensions are shown on the attached graphic (as well as the
other structures).
Trailer No. 1 (Office)
The office trailer is 51 feet by 13 feet and is set on a concrete block
foundation.
Trailer No. 2 (Breakroom)
The breakroom is also 51 feet by 13 feet and is set on a concrete block
foundation.
• Movement of Reclamation Materials
The Division has asked how far waste rock and topsoil will have to be
moved to accomplish reclamation on the site. If the large waste rock pile
at the southern end of the mine were allowed to be moved now for use as
backfill the distance would vary from approximately 1,000 ft. to 3,000 ft. If
the waste was moved at the end of mining the distance would vary from
approximately 5,000 ft. to 7,000 ft. (this illustrates why it is more efficient
to move it now).
Topsoil stockpiles are present in a north-south alignment just east of the
mine. The distance to move the topsoil to areas to be reclaimed varies
from approximately 1,250 ft. to 2,500 ft. uniformly along the entire length
of the mine.
• Acid-Base Neutral ization/Remediation Report
This report was submitted to the Division in 1994 and a copy is attached to
this letter.
Cemex, Inc. - Dowe Flats Limestone Mine Page 4
2009 TR-02
