Additional Sheet
2009 Annual Report
Grisenti Farms Pit
M-2001-005
Continental Materials (Castle Concrete Company)
Anniversary Date: May 23
Overview of Permit Year: During the 2008/2009 operating year there was considerable, but declining activity
a the operation. By year's end, due to the worldwide economic recession, activity declined to a very low level.
Annual Report Maps: The annual report map included with this report shows the location of the affected land
as well as the various features and categories of affected land.
Affected Lands: As of the anniversary date, a total of 57.5 acres had been affected.
Revegetation: No reclamation has been implemented, however, two sediment basins have been completed
and their completion constitutes a reclamation activity in the form of backfilling. Toward the end of the permit
year, mining shifted to Phase 2. Reclamation in Phase 1 will likely begin in the next permit year with slope
backfilling and reconstruction.
Expected Activity (2009-2010): How much happens at this operation in the next year is totally dependent
upon the economic situation. If the economy picks up then activity may climb back toward prior levels, but if it
remains depressed activity will remain low. Economic forecasts indicate a possible slow activity through much if
not all of 2009 with a pickup in the economy in 2010. It all depends.
Continental Materials (Castle Concrete) 2009 Annual Report M-2001-005 Grisenti Farms Pit Page 1 of 1
