MANAGEMENT
Avis,,,. _ _oamati
?
Mining and Safetypn
On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, (BRL), enclosed is an application for a minor
revision to provide for the relocation of GVB-9B. The relocation will require the
construction a light use road and new drill pad since GVB-9B was to be drilled from a
drill pad that is still required for GVB-10B.
Right of Entry
All of the proposed disturbed area is located on USDA-FS managed surface. Right of
entry is granted by BRL's Federal Coal lease subject to analysis of impacts by the
surface management agency.
Related Permit Actions
Technical revision number 52 approved the original location of GVB-9B.
Affected and Disturbed Area
The new drill site and road will disturb approximately 1.5 acres within the affected area.
An as-built alignment was prepared for the North Dove Gulch Road (TR-52). The North
Dove Gulch Road was field designed as allowed by Rule 4.03.3(3). The field design
lengthened the road about 15%. An additional 2.2 acres will be disturbed as a result of
the longer road. Therefore 3.7 (1.5 + 2.2) acres will be the disturbance associated with
this revision.
Technical revision no. 52 indicated there were 16.7 acres outside of the affected area
boundary. The approval of PR-11 changed the affected area boundary. The result of
the affected area boundary change on the disturbed and affected acreages is
summarized below:
