3.2.5 Tailgate/Corporate Safety Meetings is <br />A tailgate safety meeting will be conducted at least daily or (1) whenever risks or hazards change, <br />(2) whenever new personnel arrive, and (3) when site conditions warrant. The Site <br />Superintendent, SSHO, or other qualified individual will conduct tailgate safety meetings. <br />Attendees will include all WWL personnel., contractor and subcontractor personnel, and site <br />visitors. Where procedural deficiencies are identified, an additional safety meeting will be <br />conducted to address the situation. A record of tailgate safety meeting and roster of attendees <br />will be documented and maintained in project files. A daily log of site personnel and safety <br />meeting record is provided in Appendix A. The following should be addressed during the <br />meetings. <br />• Review of planned activities <br />• Hazards associated with site operations <br />• Hazards associated with equipment and hand tools <br />• Other hazards as appropriate <br />• Hazards encountered underground <br />• PPE required <br />• Communications <br />• Site personnel responsibilities <br />• Decontamination procedures (if warranted) <br />• Emergency procedures <br />Corporate health and safety meetings will be scheduled periodically to discuss new safety <br />concerns, revisions to existing safety requirements, and lessons learned from accidents and near <br />misses. Both corporate and tailgate safety meeting agendas and content will be reviewed and/or <br />appended by company management, the SSHO, or the site project manager or supervisor. <br />3.2.6 Safety Inspections <br />The SSHO, or his/her designee, will inspect the site daily to identify potential hazardous <br />conditions or work areas. Each inspection will include ensuring that work operations are being <br />conducted in compliance with the protocols and procedures outlined in this SSHP. •
