• <br />3.2.1 OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations Training <br />Site personnel whose job responsibilities cause them to be exposed to or to have the potential to <br />be exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards are required to comply with 29 Code of <br />Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 1910.12o(e)(3)(i) or applicable state regulations. This <br />regulation requires site personnel exposed to hazardous substances to complete 4o hours of <br />offsite instruction and 3 days of field experience supervised by a trained supervisor. <br />3.2.2 <br />3.2.3 Refresher Training <br />Annual refresher training in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.12o(e)(8) (OSHA), or 30 CFR Part <br />48.8 (MSHA) will be completed at least annually following the completion of the individual's <br />4o-hour training course. <br />3.2.4 Site-Specific Training 0 <br />Prior to start of work, all personnel will attend site-specific training to address specific tasks <br />associated with the scope of work. This training may be conducted on- or off-site and will focus <br />on site-specific hazards and safety issues. WWL employees who have full-time, part-time, or <br />seasonal status and all contractors, and subcontractors must attend site-specific training. Site- <br />specific training will be provided for all visitors prior to entering the site. <br />3.2.5 Tailgate/Corporate Safety Meetings <br />A tailgate safety meeting will be conducted at least daily or (1) whenever risks or hazards change, <br />(2) whenever new personnel arrive, and (3) when site conditions warrant. The Site <br />Superintendent, SSHO, or other qualified individual will conduct tailgate safety meetings. <br />Attendees will include all WWL personnel, contractor and subcontractor personnel, and site <br />visitors. Where procedural deficiencies are identified, an additional safety meeting will be <br />conducted to address the situation. A record of tailgate safety meeting and roster of attendee 3 <br />will be documented and maintained in project files.
