THE INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE DOES NOT NEED TO BE HELD CONFIDENTIAL
Exhibit C - AMSO, LLC Notice of Intent Supplemental Information
section extending from the base of the nahcolitic oil shale (1830 feet approximate depth)
to the base of the Green River Formation (2380 feet approximate depth). Existing site
information (well logs for the existing Sulfur Creek #I Well and well logs and core from
the existing 21-24-298 well) was used to assess the stratigraphic sequence beneath the
site as shown in Figure C.1. As shown, the illite-rich strata occur below the dissolution
surface which is expected at a depth of approximately 1855 feet below ground surface.
The existing site information suggests that little if any water-bearing strata are likely to
be present below the dissolution surface. Therefore, it is anticipated that the L3 will be
the first water-bearing strata present above the illite-rich test zone. Below the illite-rich
test zone, water may be encountered within the upper portion of the Wasatch Formation.
Hydrologic testing will be performed in the corehole and drill holes TM-1 through TM-4
(described below) to assess hydrologic properties within the illite-rich test zone.
Hydrologic testing may include straddle-packer testing within the corehole and long-term
aquifer testing within the drill holes TM-1 through TM-4.
The wells to support the pilot project will be installed during a single phase of
construction which is scheduled to begin in late surnmer 2008. It is anticipated that up to
3 months may be required to complete the well construction and hydrologic testing phase
of the project. Locations for the new wells proposed for the pilot project and the one
existing well on the former Shell drill pad (MWP-1) are shown in Figures A.2 and A.3
(Exhibit A). The proposed wells are suniunarized in Table C.1.
•
•
6
