Roads will be
constructed with a travelway width of 14 feet and appropriate base course and surface
course to provide all-weather :access to the pads and to reduce fugitive dust.
Access Road to Test Pad
An access road with a travelway width of 14 feet and approximately 580 feet long will be
constructed to access drill pad. TP from the existing BLM road.. The access road
extending from the existing BLM road to the Test Pad will be constructed along the
natural topographic contour. The disturbed area for the Test Pad access road will be
approximately 0.3 acre. A drainage ditch, minimum depth of one foot below the running
surface, will be constructed adjacent to the uphill perimeter of the road. The road will be
surfaced with 6 inches of 1/.1-inch road base gravel. Two 18-inch culverts will be installed
across the road, one at the intersection with the BLM road and one at the point where the
road enters the drill pad.
Access Road to HB Pad
An access road with a travelway width of 14 feet and approximately 490 feet long will be
constructed to access drill pad HB from the existing BLM road. The access road
extending from the existing BLM road to the HB Pad will be constructed along the
alignment of a former two-track road extending east of the BLM road towards the drill
pad. The disturbed area for the HB Pad access road will be approximately 0.3 acre. A
drainage ditch, minimum depth of one foot below the running surface, will be constructed
adjacent to the uphill perimeter of the road. The road will be surfaced with 6 inches of
1/9-inch road base gravel. Two 18-inch culverts will be installed across the road, one at
the intersection with the BLM road and one at the point where the road enters the drill
pad.
Access Road to Pad MWP-2
The existing two-track road leading to drill pad MIAT-2 will be upgraded to
accommodate access to the drill pad. The upgraded road, with a travelway width of 14
feet and approximately 1155 feet long, will be constructed to access drill pad TP from the
existing BLM road. The disturbed area for the upgraded access road will be
approximately 0.6 acre. A drainage ditch, minimum depth of one foot below the running
surface, will be constructed allong each edge of the road. The road will be surfaced with
6 inches of 1/4-inch road base ;gravel. Two 18-inch culverts will be installed across the
road, one at the intersection with the BLM road and one at the point where the road enters
the drill pad. Because the drill pad will obstruct future access along the existing two-
track road to the north of the site, a prinutive road with no surfacing materials will be
created around the northeast corner of the pad to connect the upgraded road with the
existing two-track road.

3
