Reclamation Accomplished to Date (Including 2008 Reclamation):
A total of 1.58 acres have been reclaimed since this operation began in 2003. No additional
sites were reclaimed during 2008 since mining was limited to a single site.
Reclamation Accomplished During 2_008:
A dozen ponderosa pine were planted on Site C on the Smoky Hawk. Additionally, 30 mixed
meadow rose, wax currant, and mountain mahogany were also planted. Tree and shrub
survival rate on the Smoky Hawk was excellent when checked in October.
Trees and shrubs planted in 2007 on the Blue Smoky are also doing well. Grass on all sites is
doing well. Sites E and L on the Blue Smoky have achieved 80 percent regrowth.
Reclamation can be considered complete.
Proposed 2009 Operations:
Operations will be in conjunction with operations on Colorado Calumet Co. Inc. mining
claims and Crystaljack mining claims between early May through early August and be
conducted primarily using a John Deer 992 and/or 690 track hoe on the Smoky Hawk and Elk
Horn claims at Site B. A 996 loader will again be used to move overburden off Site B.
Additionally, blasting will again be conducted at Site B. Mining at Site B is expected to be
completed this season. If so, a bulldozer may be brought on site to accomplish reclamation.
Additional prospects may be opened at Sites B and C to check for the continuation of the
mineralized zone. Any prospects will be filled and reseeded.
Site visits, including mineral extraction, reclamation, and claim maintenance will be
continued throughout the season.
Anticipated 2009 Disturbances:
A final 0.6 acre will likely be disturbed at Site B, to the west and also to the north of the
current excavation to the limits of the permitted dig site.
Additional prospects will not exceed 0.03 acre.
Proposed 2009 Reclamation:
Site B, approximately 1.3 acre, should be reclaimed unless additional mineralized zone is
found. Assuming Site B is reclaimed, the storage area on Site A will also be reclaimed as well
as the access road from Site A to Site B. The site will also be reseeded with native grasses.
Trees will be planted in 2010.
