A monitoring program will be proposed by
the design engineers in that TR application and will include a plan for submitting subsequent data.
• How long does MCC intend on monitoring these piezometers/inclinometers before they will be
sealed for final reclamation?
I anticipate that each piezometer and inclinometer that is within the footprint of ERPE
(projected at this point to include all of them but the southern-most site) will be monitored until such
time as the height of the ERPE fill reaches each location. Because the site preparation for the refuse
pile will involve the removal of topsoil and soil cover materials, and some locations, excavation for
underdrains, the p iezo meters/i ncl i no meters will likely be destroyed when that preparation work
occurs. Until then, I expect that monitoring will continue, with data being regularly submitted to the
DRMS.
