No new access roads are proposed at
this time.
403.2 (1) General Rgniiramants. Peabody will construct, maintain and
reclaim access roads to minimize erosion and siltation, air
and water pollution and damage to public and private property.
Zb the extent possible, using the best technology currently
available, access, roads will not cause damage to fish,
wildlife, or related environmental values and will not cause
additional contributions of suspended solids to streamflow or
to runoff outside the permit area. Any such contribution
shall not be in excess of limitations of State or Federal law. •
~e locations of access roads will be shown on E~3iibit 12-1
anti a typical cross section is shown on Figure 12-5.
'II~e access roads at the mine site will be designed with
appropriate ditches, grades, a~ culverts to control erasion
and runoff. All access roads will be constructed basically
"on-grade" and the location will be partially limited by the
grades of the existing or nactrni *+~ *+g areas.
