SIGNS AND MARKERS I <br />4.02 A variety of signs and markers are utilized to identify the mine, permit <br />• perimeter, buffer zones, blasting areas, and topsoil stockpiles. These signs <br />ate generally of a standard design as illustrated by Figures 12-1, 12-Z, and <br />12-3. Local ordinance or safety practice may dictate some variation or <br />additional signs; however, all signs and markers required are or will be <br />prominently posted. The following are descriptions of those signs required <br />to be used'a[ Seneca II. <br />4.02.2 Mine Identification. A ml ne id entiflcatlon sign is posted adjacent to County <br />Road 27 prior to reachl nq the office and shop area. The sign shows the name, <br />business address, and telephone number of the perml ttee and identification <br />numbers of current mining and reclamation permits. The sign will not be <br />removed unt 11 after release from all bonds. Any disturbance caused by <br />removal of the sign will be completely reclaimed. <br /> 4.02.3 Perimeter Markers. These signs are of a company standard design and made of <br /> metal erected on st eel posts. Buffer zone markers will be installed along those streams <br />identified by Section 4.05.10 as requiring buffer zone protection. <br />4.02.6 Blasting Signs. Two 121 types of signs are used for blasting areas: Signs <br />R" x 28" with 2" red, bold letters reading "BLASTING AREA" are presently <br />displayed within 50 feec of access and haul roads, and 100 feet of any public <br />road right-of-way, and at [he edge of the blas[Sng areas.
