This is a reduction of $26,584.00. This decision
reduces the amount of the financial warranty, and does not approve any release of reclamation
responsibility for the affected lands still addressed by the Reclamation Plan and Financial Warranty.
Please provide a rider to the current Financial Warranty, or submit a new Financial Warranty
reflecting this reduction. If you wish to submit a different type of Financial Warranty, please contact
our office for the applicable form.
Also approved under SR-01 was a 44.6 acre reduction in permitted acreage. The 44.6 acres area
includes approximately 11.5 acres of land not affected by the mining operation and approximately
33.1 acres of affected land successfully reclaimed in accordance with the conditions of the
Reclamation Plan and Act and Rules. The 44.6 acres released under SR-01 are no longer
addressed by the Financial Warranty. Therefore, under SR-01, the permit area was reduced from
420.9 acres to 376.3 acres.
Please contact me at the Division's office in Durango at 691 CR 233, Suite A-2, Durango, CO 81301,
phone (970) 247-5469, if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Wallace H.
