Language in Section 1.9 Base Flow should read as follows;
Pit water will not be discharged through outfalls that have not been permitted for pit water discharge
under an approved CDPS permit. Additionally, for those outfalls approved for pit water discharge,
where this discharge was not included in the pond design as a base flow, pit pumpage will not occur
during LnX storm runoff or snow melt less than or equal to the 25 year, 24-hour storm event.
In other words, for outfalls where pit pumpage is approved under the CDPS permit but was not
included in the pond design, pit water can be pumped to the pond only during dry weather or periods
of no storm water runoff less than or equal to the 25-year, 24-hour storm event.
Response: We have added the requested language in Section 1.9. This text is similar
to the language in the approved version of document, it was only removed
because it did not seem to be directly relevant to sediment pond design
criteria but was more of an operating practice.
