Kathleen G. Welt
May 14, 2009
Page 2
8. A description of whether the areas proposed for new light use road and the geotechnical drilling
will require clearance by the State Historic Preservation Officer (2.04.4);
9. If the proposed drilling area is not within an area currently reporting to a sedimentation pond, a
description of how the drilling area will qualify as a small area exemption per 4.05.2(3);
10. A description of whether the so-called "Tweety" drainage proposed for fording is an ephemeral
stream with an upstream watershed of a least one square mile (4.03.3(2)(c));
11. A description of how surface water runoff from the proposed new light use road during its
construction, use, maintenance and reclamation will prevent causing additional contributions of
suspended solids to streamflow or to runoff outside the permit area (4.03.3(l)(b);
4.03.3(4)(a)(ii)).
Do not hesitate to call me or Dan Hernandez if you have any questions.
Sincerely,

Tom Kaldenbach
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Dan Hernandez, DRMS
