ORIGINAL - PUBLIC FILE
(Page 2)
MINE ID 4 OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn-1983-193
INSPECTION DATE: A/30i09 INSPECTORS INITIALS: R1(-
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site as part of sites to be
inspected during the fiscal years 208-2009.
The site is a 112 operation along Volmer road, covering a total of 35 acres, inside the
R.E MONKS PLANT AREA, which includes an Asphalt plant, shop, fuel storage and cement batch
plant.
The only kind of activity on site is processing of material from other sites, no active
mining takes place on site. The maximum area that could be affected throughout the life of
the operation is 20 acres with 4 acres maximum at any given time. The rest of the permit
acres are part of the plant operation that is currently being utilized by another Ready
Mix co.
Present during the site inspection was Mr. Greg Newline of R.E MONKS. The total area to be
affected at any given time is 4 acres. The current mining related affected area is less
than 4 acres. Small amount of imported stockpile material for the cement plant was noted
along the South side of the mining area.
Permit sign is properly posted. According to Mr. Newline, mining is not anticipated in
this area for the near future, other than processing from existing stock piles and
imported aggregate from other operations.
The current warranty in the amount of $18,450.00 is more than adequate to cover the cost
of reclamation, of the current disturbance associated with the mining area. The post
mining land use for the site is Industrial Commercial.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MR GREG NEWLIN
OPERATOR: R.E MONKS CONSTRUCTION
ADDRESS P.O.BOX 25579
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Cnl QRAE)Q SPRINGS,, C-0 6093()
cc: F CE JOHN AMES/FOREST S
f- HMWMD (CH)
F
F SE
F WQCD (CH)
F OTHER
F BL
F FS,
F HW
