III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
that there had been no further movement this spring. The area was included in the SL-3 Phase 1 bond release
area, which was recently approved.
Also, a repaired gully below Road "E-1", below a fenceline adjacent to the upper reach of Channel PM-22 was
ground checked. There appeared to be some new rill formation in the repaired gully area. The location is
subject to concentrated flow from snow accumulation areas adjacent to the road, which may not be practicable
to divert. Installation of a stable TRM lined channel through the repaired gully location would appear to
be warranted to prevent recurrence of the gully.
Fish and Wildlife
Numerous mergansers and a pair of mallards were observed on Pond 003, and a number of blue herons on
Pond 002.
Revegetation/Reclamation Success
Spring growth of vegetation on the reclaimed areas has only recently initiated and due to seasonality these
topics were not closely inspected.
4
